Sunderland take it back to the 80’s for their 23/24 Home Shirt

Just Sport and Sunderland launched the new 23/24 Home Shirt today, ahead of the new season. Manufactured by Nike, the new home shirt is a throwback to the Lads’ iconic ‘80s jersey, sported by a host of Club legends including Gary Bennett and Eric Gates from 1983 to 1986.

Heralding from County Durham, the new kits were first modelled by talented local musicians Elizabeth Liddle and Tom A. Smith, who are both making waves in the industry on Wearside and beyond.

he home shirt, which completes a classic look by pairing black shorts and red socks, is expected to be available to supporters from late July, with home and away mini kits also set to be available ahead of the Club’s home pre-season friendly against Real Mallorca.

All adult shirts will proudly display the logo of SAFC’s principal partner, Spreadex Sports, and Utilita will take pride of place on all 2023-24 junior shirts.

Vertu Motors also continue as Sunderland’s valued back-of-shirt partner, with their logo.
